2008 Rehearsal Dinner Guide

Thank you for considering Bittersweet Grand Receptions for your upcoming rehearsal dinner.  Below is our pricing schedule, which includes many options that are available at your request.  If there is something you would like that is not listed below, please let us know and we will see if we can get it for you. To book the room, we require a $50 deposit payable at the time of booking.  The remainder of the bill will be due at the conclusion of the event.

 

 

Private Rooms

At the Bittersweet, we offer private rooms at no cost.  There are several rooms available of various sizes each with its own characteristics which are discussed below.  Depending on the room you select and the number of guests you’re bringing, there are several set up options available from U-shape to round table to general seating. 

Eagle’s Nest

The Eagles Nest accommodates up to 38 people.  It has a private out-door, covered deck that overlooks the Mississippi river valley.  The bar and bathrooms are just outside the room.  This room also has windows on three sides that overlook the valley from atop the bluff.

Vineyard Room

The vineyard accommodates up to 80 people.  It has a private bar and private bathrooms.  This room has wonderful ambiance and has windows on one side that over look the valley below. 

The Lounge

The Lounge accommodates up to people.  The bar and bathrooms are just outside the room.  The room has wonderful decorations and has windows on three sides that overlook the Mississippi river valley.  Menu OptionsWe offer three types of sit down meal service.  Buffet Style, Family Style, and Plated Service.  You could also select to do an appetizer and/or Sandwich event.  Pricing for each type of sit-down service is listed below.  If you have any questions about our services or don’t like the menu options you see, let us know.  We will be more than happy to help out. 

Beverage Options

As part of the planning process, we will discuss beverage options.  We will offer your guests a full bar service.  We will agree which of those purchases will be charged on the bill and which ones they will pay for themselves.  You will have a wide range of options such as:  Open Bar, Cash Bar, Drink Tickets, Limited items (beer, pop, wine), etc.

Plated Menu Options

Selecting to have plated meal is the most elaborate and impressive style of service.  Each meal is served in a three course fashion (Soup, Salad, and Main Entrée).  In addition, you can choose to have appetizers and/or dessert.   In addition, you could choose to do wine or Champaign with the meal.  With a plated meal we offer a “mini menu” option.  With this option you pick up to 6 of the items listed below.  We will print and custom menu which has the bride and groom’s names at the top.  The menu is printed at no cost to you.  Each of your guests gets a copy of the menu and orders his/her meal when everyone is seated.  Each meal (except pasta entrees) includes a seasonal vegetable and garlic mashed potatoes.

Ribeye (12oz)             $18

Supremely marbled choice rib of beef fired on the grill to your liking. 

Lemon Rosemary Chicken      $12

Half of a semi-boneless chicken pan roasted with fresh rosemary and lemon. 

Beef Medallions        $16

Medallions of choice beef, sautéed, served with a wild mushroom and Bourbon brown sauce. 

Boneless Beef Short Ribs         $15

Choice boneless Short Ribs braised in an old fashioned apple cider blend and topped with sauce made from the braising blend. 

Pork Tenderloin        $15

All natural, well marbled pork tenderloin, raised in the Midwest, sautéed golden brown and served with whole grain mustard cream reduction. 

Sautéed Atlantic Salmon      $13

Norweigan Salmon sauteed and served with our chipotle, shallot cream sauce. 

Beef Tenderloin         $21

Choice beef tenderloin seasoned and grilled to your specifications and topped with maitre 'd butter. 

Chicken Pesto Pasta         $13

Freshly breaded chicken breast with herb roasted Roma tomatoes and pesto, served over Linguini pasta, and finished with Parmesan Reggiano.  

Spinach Artichoke tortellini     $12

Tortellini tossed in our spinach and artichoke cream sauce. 

Chilean Sea Bass         $22

Herb studded Sea Bass from Chili.  Seasoned and Roasted to perfection.  

Deep Fried Cod         $12

Three pieces of Cod dredged in our own breading and deep fried golden brown. 

Coconut Shrimp        $17

Eight  giant Black Tiger shrimp dredged in a coconut breading and served with a pineapple pina colada sauce. 

Shrimp and Crab      $17

Six sautéed Black Tiger shrimp and a giant Blue Crab Cake.  Served with sauce Exotique (mango and passion fruit sauce).

 

Dinner Buffet

The per person prices listed below include one potato, one hot vegetable, 2 salads, homemade bread, butter, coffee at a coffee table, and water at the bar.  Additional potatoes, vegetables or salads can be added for $ .50 per person per item.   The tip rate for Buffet Style service is 12%.

Family Style    Buffet Selection Price plus  $ 1.95

Family style dinners are served at the table.  All tables will be set with place settings that include a china dinner plate, water glass, coffee cup, silverware, and a white linen napkin.  When serving this method, water and coffee are also served at the table.  Tip rate for Family Style service is 15%.

Hors d’oeuvres can be served to your guests prior to serving dinner or late in the evening.  All prices are per 50 pieces unless otherwise noted.  All of the hors d’oeuvres are offered only in conjunction with a meal.

Assorted seasonal vegetables served raw or grilled.  Available with Parmesan peppercorn ranch or basil aioli.
